I'm working on a new project, called Booklet. It's trying to be a better version of Google Groups.

Email's a great communication tool, but email lists suck. Instead, people resort to Facebook Groups, Whatsapp, or Slack to organize groups. But, none of these work for long-form, asynchronous conversations like email.

I'm building the tool I want to organize my communities - like the Moonlight alumni group, portfolio company groups for an investor, or SerbianEntrepreneurs.com. Plus, maybe this would be good for companies to use, too.

I'm doing this by building better group software. It will have a forum and a member directory to start and a good daily/weekly digest email. Privacy is a big focus - people are tired of Facebook selling their data and are increasingly wary of talking openly in public forums like Twitter.

I'm actively building Booklet from scratch. In this newsletter, my goal is to create some accountability for myself by sharing what I'm doing. I'd also love to involve you in the building process and incorporate your feedback throughout!

You can expect one email weekly on Mondays. I'll share what I've built, what's coming next, and how you can help.
